Ashes in Paeroa As a result of a scrub fire which was burning in the foothills of the Colville range near Karangahake last night a quantity of ash fell in Paeroa. In some cases ash of whole fern leaves, which was so brittle that it crumbled st the touch, was deposited on lawns. Railway Tennis Team In the Mills Cup match to be played at Te Aroha on Saturday the Paeroa Railway Tennis Club will be represented by the following team: Mesdames G. Watson and R. Blair, Misses L. and D. Gillespie, Messrs N. Vinnicombe, F. Sparks, A. Stevenson, jJIL Castles, B. McDonald and W. Vercoe.
