ATHLETE HURT
SLIPPED ON TRACK PULLED MUSCLE IN LEG An unfortunate accident occurred on the Paeroa domain on Wednesday night when Stanley Nield, who was running in the junior 220 yards, in the Paeroa Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club’s evening sports, slipped and pulled a’muscle in his right leg. Stanley had been picked to represent Waikato in the New Zealand junior championships to be held at New Plymouth on March 5 and this mishap may possibly prevent him from competing.
