MR GRAY VUGLAR HONOURBD paer6a athletic club . f A member of the Paeroa Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club for the past 11 years, Mr Gray Vuglar of Paeroa, handed in his resignation to the chib on Monday night as he has bee* transferred to the Wellington offlce of the Social Security Department. Mr L. Wrigley, president of the club, spoke very highly of Mr at the committee meeting on Monday
night, and Mr J. Verran, club captain, endorsed these remarks, adding that “ Paeroa’s loss would be Wellington’s gain.” After the sports on Wedneeday night, Mr Wrigley called everyone to the foot of the grandstand and again spoke of the work Mr Vuglar had done in the club. He had joined as a schoolboy and had worked his way up to winning several Waikato hurdling records, he said. A fountain pen was presented on behalf of the chib. Mr Vuglar replied, thanking Mr Wrigley for his remarks and the club members for their presentation.
