TEXAS IN 1877 OUTLAWS AND RANCHERS “ SAN ANTONIO ” AT REGENT The film “ San Antonio ” which will screen at the Regent theatre, Paeroa, on Thursday and Friday, tells of Texas in 1877, the year of “ The Great Breakup ” in the U.S.A. Highly organised bands of outlaws opposed Texas ranchers in a savage war actoss the ranges. The blazing colour the film, tells the exciting story of a-stubborn cowman (Errol Flynn) who gets a cattle tally book revealing the identity ' of the outlaw leader. He rides to San Antonio and outwits the gunmen by travelling in the private stagecoach of a New York actress.

While he is visiting the actress in her dressing room after a music hall show, the outlaws obtain the tally book. The rancher is appointed marshal of San Antonio for a period of 24 hours. After a thrilling chase, he battles with the two chief outlaws —winning the fight and, of course, the girl.
