KITCHEN EVENING

MISS LEACH HONOURED FUNCTION AT WAITAKARURU A kitchen evening for Miss Maureen Leach and Mr Jim Lennan was held in the Waitakaruru hall on the eve of their wedding when there was a very large attendance of the young couple’s well-wishers. Music was supplied by Mr Frank Brown, and Mr G. Yeager made a very efficient M.C. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss S. Hall and Mr E. Bennett. After a very nice supper, Mr J. Brown called on the guests off the evening to open the many and' varied gifts, and everyone sang 41 For they are jolly good fellows.” Mr Lennan then thanked everyone on ‘behalf of Maureen and himself for the beautiful presents and the kind wishes which accompanied them.
