IN GOOD DEMAND

CATTLE AT KOPU SALE FAT BULLOCKS TO £l7/17/There was a very heavy entry of over 300 head of all classes of cattle and a small entry of pigs at the fortnightly Kopu sale held recently. In the cattle section all classes met a very firm demand and the whole yarding changed hands at good rates. Beef was still in good demand, exporters and butchers competing.freely for all classes, heavy cows realising up to £l3 19s. A small entry of fat bullocks also sold well, medium prime cattle selling from £l7 to £l7 17s 6d. Dairy cattle continued to meet a better enquiry as did weaner heifers, jg The advertised Hereford weaners met a good demand, weaner steers selling at £5 11s for medium sorts with £4 for similar quality heifers.
