AWARDS RECEIVED
INVESTITURE IN HAMILTON
TWO LOCAL SERVICEMEN
At the invitation of the Gover--9 nor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, V.C., the mayor and mayoress of Paeroa, Mr and Mrs Edwin Edwards, attended the investiture at the Theatre Royal, Hamilton, on Monday night.. After the investiture they were enter tained at a reception given by the mayor of Hamilton, Mr H. D. Caro.
The following awards were presented to local men:— Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.), Flight-Lieutenant A. B. Wheeler of Waitakaruru. Military Medal (M.M.), Sergeant R. Cullen of Paeroa.
