OUTPUT AT QUARRY
WORK AT MANGATARATA 1796 YARDS FOR THE MONTH The output of metal from the Mangatarata quarry for March was 1706 cubic yards, reported the county engineer, Mr E. Hazledine-Barber, to the April meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. Distribution: Highways and roads, 1988 cubic yards; sales, 618 cubic yards.
“ Every endeavour is being made to hire a bulldozer for work at the quarry and I am hoping to have one on the job next week,” added the report.
