WON BY PAEROA
GOLDFIELDS STARS FINAL
TAKEN FROM HIKUTAIA
Playing on the Paeroa domain on Saturday a team from' the Paeroa Bowling Club (challengers), defeated Hikutaia (holders) by 23 to 13 in the final match of the season for the Goldfields Stars, the premier trophy for rinks competition in the Goldfields centre. Paeroa held the stars at the commencement of the season, but lost them to Te Aroha, who held them until defeated by Hikutaia. The teams were:—
Paeroa: W. R. Pirie (No. 1), W. G. H. Weadon (No. 2), C. C. Webb (No. 3), P. A. Plummer (skip). Hikutaia: A. Short (No. 1). P. Ingley (No. 2), B. A. Kelly (No. 3), J. Baird (skip).
