FACTORY ACCESS

MERCURY BAY DAIRY COMPANY COUNCIL GRANTS REQUEST A letter received by the November meeting of the Coromandel County Council from the Mercury Bay Dairy Company stated that it was the council’s duty to provide reasonable access to the factory in place of what had been taken away when a drain had been dug. Cr. W. Hamilton said that the company would be prepared to accept one entrance provided it was a suitable one which would allow trucks through easily. It was pointed out by Cr. R. A. Simpson that the dairy company had derived no benefit from the drain, and had lost its access. The meeting decided to give the company the access it asked.
