RUGBY IN COROMANDEL MANUREWA’S 11—3 VICTORY In a disappointing Rugby match on Saturday a visiting team from Manurewa defeated Coromandel by 11 points to three at Coromandel. The home team was not at full strength and was beaten by the fast backs and the better handling of the visitors. Manurewa took control ’ from the outset and took play to Coromandel territory where McKeddie saved. Harrison was the referee. CURTAIN-RAISER COROMANDEL JUNIORS WIN In a curtain-raiser the Coromandel juniors defeated a Manurewa team by 15 points to 9. Tries for the visitors were scored by Bentley (2) and Field. Gamble (2), Beech (2) and Orr scored for Coromandel. Mr Harrison was the referee.
