Weeb, presented to the August riieeting of the Paeroa Borough Council was as follows: — “Drainage: There have been 109 feet of concrete pipes laid in the King street drain. This completes the piping of this drain. Slips in Junction road drain have been cleared and carted away for filling. The cleaning of all open drains has now been completed. “Tree maintenance: The annual pruning of trees in the streets has now been finished and the rubbish carted away. “ A water connection has been given to G.’ A. R. Fulton’s property from the pipe which runs through the racing club’s property. Four new water connections have been made to the new State houses in Ainslie road. In De Castro street a 1 inch pipe has ■been put in to replace a i inch pipe which formerly served this street as far as J. J. Craig’s house. “Domain gates: Due to the wet weather the plasterer has been unable to complete the job at the domain gates. It is hoped to get this job finished as soon as suitable weather comes. “Reserve —Taylor’s hill: The foreman has reported that this reserve is in a very bad state. Very little attention has been given to the reserve by the lessee and the place is now over-run with blackberries and gorse.” _____
