Turua Badminton Club
The Turua Badminton Club was defeated in a match played against St. George’s club (Thames), recently. St. George’s won by 12 sets to four. Work Appreciated At the annual meeting of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club held on Saturday night, the president, Mr H. Dent, referred to the resignation of Mr G. A. Avery from the committee, expressing the hope that Mr Avery would soon be restored to full health. Appreciation of the done by Mr Avery was placed on record.
