PAEROA HOUSING
COMPARED WITH THAMES 30 PER CENT. OF DEMAND REQUESTS DETERMINE NUMBER The matter of the shortage of houses in Paeroa was again raised by the Paeroa Chamber of Commerce at its August meeting. The following letter was received from the Minister of Works, Mr Semple, in reply to correspondence from the chamber: — “ Regarding the chamber’s contention that Paeroa is not receiving a fairdeal in the matter of State houses as compared with other towns, particularly Thames, the following figures will, I think, dispel any suggestions of this.
