SENIOR COMPETITION
PATETONGA JUNIORS IN LEAD
Kerepeehi has won the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union’s senior competition for this season with 12 points. In the junior competition there ’.s still one game to be played, but at the moment Patetonga is leading with 15 points.
In the third grade competition Waitakaruru and Kerepeehi are equal with 12 points each. Details of the points agained are: — Senior: Kerepeehi 12, Ngatea 9, Miranda 8, Turua 5, Waitakaruru 4, Kiwi 2, Patetonga 2.
Junior: Patetonga 15, Turua 14, Waitakaruru 13. (The first three clubs only). Thirds: Waitakaruru 12, Kerepeehi 12. (Leading clubs only).
RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S PLAY
SENIORS, JUNIORS AND THIRDS Result of the games played in the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union’s competitions on Saturday were:— Seniors Waitakaruru 13, beat Turua 6, at Waitakaruru, referee Mr A. Leonard; Miranda 3, drew with Ngatea 3 at Miranda, referee Mr W. Bailey; Ketepeehi 22 beat Patetonga 3 at Patetonga, referee Mr T. O’Dwyer. Juniors Turua 3 drew with Patetonga 3 at Turua, referee Mr J. Masters; Waitakaruru 21 beat Ngatea 0 1 at Waitakaruru, referee Mr A. Costello; Kerepeehi defaulted to Maramarua. Thirds Kerepeehi 6, beat Waitakaruru 3, at Kerepeehi, referee Mr A. Prestige; Turua 14 beat Ngatea 6, at Ngatea, referee Mr J. Grey.
