COUNTY FOREMAN
POSITION FILLED MR 'E. ORR APPOINTED Nine applications were, received at the May meeting of the Coromandel County Council for the position of county foreman. After a discussion, it was resolved that Mr E. Russell; vice president: Mrs A. G. M'c'Neil; Secretary and Treasurer: Mrs S. Ward; committee: Mesdames D. Inglis, D. Logan, C. Kennedy, F. Strongman, N. James, V. Hart, Christian, E. Turner, J. Scott. R. Martin, D. H. Knight and 0. Dobbs together with main officers; badge committee for tests: —knitting section: Mrs Ward, domestic: Mrs McKinley; sewing: 'Mrs D. Strongman; child welfare: Mrs 'S. Macdonald; auditor: Miss Mitchell. Miss J. 'S'cott agreed to go into the question of taking charge of a company of (Brownies. It was stated that there were several girls of the age for joining the Brownies- in Coromandel and the Colville company which was formed a while back and was doing well in charge of Miss Barbara Goudie. A dainty afternoon tea served by ladies of the committee, brought the meeting to a close
