£B/14/0 FOR CHOPPERS PIG SALE IN PAEROA VALUES SHOW AN INCREASE
The N.Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report a medium yarding of pigs at their fortnightly Paeroa pig sale on Monday. Competition was very keen throughout and prices showed an increase on previous sales, best baconers realising £6/2/0 an increase of 7/6. Several pens changed hands at £6. There was also a definite increase in the store section. Choppers were also up on previous sales and one offered on account of Mr J. W. Barrett, of Paeroa, realized £B/14/0 which is thought to be a record for Paeroa sales. A total clearance was made in all lines. Quotations: —

Porkers.—Heavy: from- £4/1070 to £4/15/0; medium: £3/15/0 to £4710/0; light: £3/10/0 to £3/15/0. Stores.—Large: from £2/1070 to £2/14/0; Slips: from I’s/0 to 20/0; Weaners: good, from 7/6 to 12/6. Bows. —Close to profit: from £3/10/0 to £4. 'Boars: from £2/2/0 to £3/3/0.
