EXCHANGE OIF CUTTINGS RESULTS OF THE' COMPETITIONS The Turua Women’s Institute held its April monthly meeting there being a large attendance of members. The president, 'Mrs J. Howat, presided. Mrs Painter agreed to continue sending monthly parcels from the Turua Institute to the adopted institute in England. The roll call was an exchange of plants 1 , seeds'and cuttings. There was a large number of various blooms entered for the best bloom competition, Mbs Beag-ley and Mrs Walters tying for first place. The decorated vase of chrysanthemums was won by Mirs H. Mules, while the child’s print' apron competition was won by Mrs N. Harrison. A letter competition was 1 won by Mrs J. Mille l ’. A pleasant social half-hour followed afternoon tea which was served by Mrs> Hicks and Mrs Stewart.
