LODGE FAREWELL
PRESENTATIONS MADE MEMBBRIS OF THE J FORCE' The Hauraki Lodge held a farewell social in the lodge room, Coromandel on Tuesday, April 23, when Bros. Eric Gamble and Eric Potae were given a send-off on the eve of their departure for Japan. ■ There was a good, crowd of members and friends present and dancing and games were indulged in, a very happy evening being spent. After supper the Sis.'D. Inglis handed each of the boys a little gift from the members and expressed the hope that they would have a good trip and would soon be back in the lodge room again. Bro. Gamble replied. iSister Inglis handed Sister I. Pepper a cocktail tray carrying with it the best wishes of her fellow members for her future happiness. ‘'“For They Are Jolly Good Fellows” was heartily sung and’ followed by cheers. (Birthday greetings were also extended to Bro. Eric Gamble who had just celebrated his birthday, and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” and enjoyed a piece of birthday cake. Mrs Gamble, and. Mrs Potae were present as guests of the lodge.
