PRE-WEDDING PARTY
FUNCTION AT MERCURY BAY
MR & MRIS R. DALE 1 ENTERTAIN Mr and Mrs Roy Dale, of Mercury Bay, were the host and hostess of a very happy party given in honour of Miss Dorothy Troughear and Mr Clinton 'Smith to celebrate their coming marriage. Mrs Dale wore a graceful frock of black floral crepe and Miss Heather D’ale who assisted her mother to receive their many guests wore a frock of leaf green with cherry pipings. The guest of honour, Miss Troughear, looked charming in a black frock with touches of soft green velvet.
The popular couple were wished every possible good wish for~ their future happiness after Mr Dale had proposed the toast of the evening “Dorothy and Clinton.”.
After the very delicious buffet supper had been served a happy evening was spent in dancing and music. Among those present were, Mr and Mrs Dale, Mrs Troughear, Miss D. Troughear, Mr and Mrs D.
