SOME KEEN COMPETITION DAY ON MR JACKMAN’S PLACE The Whitianga Gun Club had an excellent shoot on Mr J • J ackman s property recently. The day was ideal for the event which was well supported by members and visitors from Coromandel. The meeting consisted of six events and' the prize money handled was £7/15/6. Eye-opener of five birds: C. Lowe I, G. Dale 2, G. Ross 3: 6. bird handicap: E. 'Glogoski 1, R. Dale 2, M. Darling 3; I'o bird handicap: J. McMahon 1, W. Turner 2, This was shot for again by the two finalists with a 7 bird shoot, the Winner being J. McMiahon; walk up and, shoot of 6 birds: A. Trow 1, E. Turner 2, R. Wood 3; competition of two teams of five, 3 bird shoot: Mercury B. team, C. Lowe, J. McMahon, R.. Dale, G. Ross, G. Dale and Coromandel team, M. Darling, E. Turner, W. Turner, McKinley, E. Glogoski, Coromandel won this event by one bird. GimCrack handicap of 6 birds: G. Dale 1, J. M'cMahon 2, F. Lee 3.
