MATCH AT TAIRUA WIN FOR THE HOME TEAM A crowd of visitors and local residents witnessed the opening of the 1&46 rugby season in Tairua on Saturday afternoon, April 27, when a keenly contested match between TairuaJHikuai and Kuaotuna was played. The home team defeated the visitors by 15 points to 6. 'Tries for Tairua-Hikuai were scored by R. Twigg 2, A. Twigg, S. Laycock, D. Morrison. H. Simpson and I. Brophy scored for Kuaotuna.
