OHINEMURI WATER SUPPLIES TROUBLE! AT MA'CKAYTOWN The county engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, reported to the April meeting' of the Ohinemuri County Council in regard to the water supplies as follows: — “All supplies are again functioning normally, the Mackaytown supply being the exception. Investigations have continued as the foreman’s time was available, but to date the blockage has not been located. So as to get water to the consumers it was decided to clear the original dam which has been out of use for 30 years. A two-inch pipe line was connected to the main and takeri into this dam. Although the pressure is not as high as from the main dam, there is an ample flow of water and consumers generally are very satisfied.”
