KAIHERE WOMEN'S' INSTITUTE MEMBERS’ GOW ATTENDANCE The April meeting of the Kaihera Womien’ l s Institute was held at the War Memorial Pavilion recently, Mrs A. G. Davis presiding ovei’ a very good attendance of members. The meeting opened with the singing of the Institute Ode and the reading of the Institute Prayer. 'The ‘“‘Home-made Necklace” competition resulted: Mrs Les Clarke 1, Mrs C. ’M'dndoe %, Mirs G. Wallace 3. There was a brisk business ait the sales table. A donation of bulbs by Mbs J. Bolton realised 12/6, and a brooch by Mrs Mclndoe brought in a further 2/6. The delegates appointed for the council meeting at Thames was Mrs Jack McDonald. Miss Jean McDonald was chosen to be in charge of the Kaihere competition table. Motto for the day was:—"What is easy is seldom excellent.” Hostesses were Mrs A. G. Davis and Mrs W. Wallis. The meeting ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
