ST. PETER’S GUILD
MEETING AT KEREPEEHI LETTER FROM PEN FRIEND The monthly meeting of St. Peter’s Guild, Kerepeehi, was held recently when there was a good attendance present. Mrs P. Innis presided. Mrs P. Innis was elected to attend meetings of the Kerepeehi Progressive League. A very nice assortment of gifts were opened and admired. These will help considerably toward the annual Paddy’s Market to be held in August. During the afternoon Mrs Innis read letters from a pen friend in America, which were very interesting, giving some idea of the cost of clothing and food stuffs in that country. Clothing was very dear and, evidently more scarce than in New Zealand. Silk stockings were nearly unprocurable. IDainty afternoon tea* brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.
