PROCRASTINATION

DANGEROUS DELAY N'OiW IS THE; ACCEPTED TIME

E.H.B.)

/ (By

'Procrastination is a fault which, manifests itself in most people at some time. There are many things in life which we know we should do but we keep putting off and putting l off until we find to our dismay that the opportunity of attending to the matter in question has passed once and for all.

To be so dilatory is of course foolish, especially when the result causes you loss or hardship but when • you procrastinate with regard to the. obtaining of your soul’s salvation, you are courting grave danger which may result in spiritual death. 'There are very few people in this district who have not heard the Gospel preached' at some time or other. There are many who know that they should repent of sin and accept the salvation which God offers them through the atoning death of His Sbn Jesus Christ. But as in the case of Felix with Paul (Acts 24), they put off to a more “convenient season” the making of the decision which means all the difference between eternal life and eternal damnation. God says in His Word, “My Spirit shall not always strive with man” (Gen. 6:3) and while M He is long suffering to us—ward, not willing that any should perish, but that, all should come to repentance,” (2 Peter 3:19) the day must dawn when “the. Lord cometh ... to execute judgement upon all, and to convince all' that are ungodly among.them of all their ungodly deed’s which they have ungodly committed.” (Jude 14. I's) Reader, this day will end your opportunity of salvation. Delay no longer for your spiritual peril is very real as long as you remain unsaved. “Behold now ite the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2). P.B.A.
