HAURAKI PLAINS ART UNION DRAWN TUESDAY NIGHT The Art Union organised by the West Hauraki Plains Recreational Voluntary 'Committee to raise funds for the purchase and development of a domain at Man'gatarata, was drawn in the Waitakaruru Hall on Tuesday night, under police supervision. The prizes went to widely scattered districts only two local residents benefitting. The following were the successful ticket holders:—First prize. £3'o, Balmoral Bowling Club, Auckland, ticket number 3825; second prize, £lO, Mrs A. MdPherson, Waitakaruru, 3640; third prize, £5, M'iss I. MacLennan, Torehape, ’Kaihere, 11’884; fourth prize £3, T. Waters, Clevedon, 13250; fifth prize, £2, A. P. Whitehead, Lower Hutt, 72170.
