COUNTY PROTEST
CATCHMENT BOARD RATE
NO PRIOR CLASSIFICATION . At the Ohinemuri County Council’s April meeting a communication from the New Zealand Counties* Association was dealt with concerning pioposals contemplated by the Government empowering catchment boards to levy a flat rate over whole catchment areas of id in the £, in addition to the administrative rate without prior classification of the land. On the motion of Crs. S. H. Thompson and G. Avery it was decided to record a protest against such a rate.
