HARVEST FESTIVAL
OBSERVANCE AT KEREPEEHI COMBINED 'SERVICES HEED The annual observance of the harvest festival was celebrated at the > Kerepeehi Hall at a combined service ■of Methodist and Presbyterian adherents. The hall was decorated with the gifts usual at. this season, flowers, fruit and vegetables making a very fine display. . The opening part of the service was conducted by the Rev. G. W. Cramond, of the Ngatea Methodist Church, who was followed by Miss G. Clarke, of the ’British and Foreign Bible Society. Miss Clarke gave a short address on the work of the society and also, emphasised how the missionaries were dependent on- the translation of the Scriptures into various languages, now numbering 761 translations. • The regular address was then given by the Rev. J. C. Howat, of the Presbyterian Church at Turua.
