Messrs Dalgety and. l Co., referring to the wool sent in write as under:— “Once again we have to offer our congratulations on. your wool clip. This year s clip was, a& you mentioned to the writer at the Coromandel sale, an improvement on the previous season, being much more even in quality and having less discoloured fleeces. The average price for the whole clip was about Id per lb. better than last year. The wool was very favourably commented on by the appraisers, and also by a number of wool growers- and others to whom we showed the wool whilst it was opened up. The fleece portion of your clip was. with the exception of three bales, graded by the appraisers as AA or A, which is almost unique as far as Auckland, is concerned l . As the appraisers schedule specifies AA as “free from fault” and A as “may contain a slight fault,” you will see that your wool must be very nearly perfect. “Your top price, 231 d was the best we .have heard of this season, although one bale from a Waiheke clip equalled this price, but this .bale was a quality finer but slightly heavier in condition than your wool. '“We regret you were not able to visit our store when the wool was opened as we are confident you would have- been pleased' with the appearance of your wool.”
