FALL FROM LADDER
MR T. A. BARRETT INJURED RIBS BROKEN AND LEG CUT Broken ribs on each side of the body, a deep gash in the leg requiring stitching and a bum to the wrist were suffered by Mr T. A. Barrett, of Waihi road, Paeroa, chairman of the Ohinemuri County Council, when on Monday morning he fell some 15ft. from a laddder. Mr Barrett was painting under the eaves- of his house when the accident occurred. It it not known exactly how the burn on the wrist was caused but it is thought that Mr Barrett must have touched the power lines. After being attended by Dr. F. L. Clark he was taken to the Thames Hospital. His condition this morning is reported as fair.
