PROPOSAL FAVOURED

AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL PAEROA COMMERCE CHAMBER At the November meeting of the Paeroa Chamber of Commerce, Mr J. H. Bartlett outlined the proposal as submitted Iby three members of the Education Department who had addressed a public meeting in Paeroa for the establishment of an agricultural high school in the South Auckland area. The main object, said Mr Bartlett, was to stimulate interest in farming and to provide boys with practical instruction. At present there was no agricultural school in South Auckland. It was agreed that the chamber give its whole-hearted support to the proposal and all members present agreed to sign the petition in favour of the establishment of such a school.
