THEFT OF CLOTHING
TAKEN FROM WORKMATE MAORI BEFORE PAEROA COURT A Maori, Samuel Davis, who appeared before Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., in the Paeroa Court on Monday on a charge of stealing a pair of trousers and a shirt valued at £1 6s 6d the property of Arthur Richmond at Avondale, was fined £1 and ordered to pay restitution £1 6s 6d. Constable V. iL. Bagge stated that Davies had shared a Public Works Department hut on a job at Avondale and' had taken the shirt and trousers when he left to work at Karangahake.
