WELCOME HOME COMMITTEE WAITAKARURU MEETING The annual meeting of the W'aitakaruru Welcome Home Committee was held in the Waitakaruru Hall. Mr George Paton occupied the chair. The secretary-treasurer, Miss Lorna Dick, presented the balance sheet which showed a. credit balance of over £7o'. After discussion it was decided to continue with the welcome home dances as in the past, and decide what should be done with any money remaining after all the 'boys are home. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the chairman and secretary for the splendid work which has been accomplished in the work of organising the functions to farewell and' welcome back the boys. Mrs A. McClean was appointed as organiser of a decorating committee which consists of Mr and Mrs W. Hegh, Mr and Mrs' S. Dick, Mr and Mrs J. Ganley, Mr and Mrs H. Flay, Mr and Mrs H. Wallis. The past committee accepted reelection with the addition of Messrs A. Wilson, C. Arthur, W. Billings.
