SALE AT KOPU

GOOD HEIFERS REALISE £l7 LARGE YARDING OF CATTLE Messrs Dalgety and Co., report that at their Kopu sale last week there was a large yarding of all classes of cattle and a medium entry of pigs. A good sale was effected at fully late rates. Dairy cattle close to profit were sought, good heifers selling up to £l7 and cows to £l5. A good entry of beef came forward and these sold readily at late rates, good cows and heifers realising from £9 to £lo' 2s 6d. Young paddock cows were also sought, these selling at £5 7s 6d to £6 'ss. A pen of medium 20months shorthorn steers sold at £8 Bs. ■Store and l weaner pigs all sold readily. They quote:— Dairy cattle.—'Heifers, good c.t.p., £l3 10s to £l7; good more backward, £lO to £l2 15s; smaller £8 10s to £9 12s 6d; plain, £7 to £8; cows, good c.t.p., £l2 10s to £l's, do, more backward, £9 lOs l to £ll 15s, aged £6 10s to £7 15s. Beef.—'Good cows and heifers, £9 to £lO 2s 6d; lighter, £7 10s to £8 12s 6d; plain, £6 to £6 17s 6d; paddock cows, £5 7s 6d to £6 ss. Pigs.—Store (good), £2 15s to £3 4s; do smaller, £2 4s to £2 10s weaners (good), £1 Ils to £1 18s; medium, £1 6s to £1 Bs.
