REQUEST TO THE MINISTER MOIRE INFORMATION WANTED The building used in Coromandel as an office by the Coromandel County Council was erected by the old military volunteers. The council has occupied the building for the past 32 years and has paid a very low rental. A request has now been made to the Minister of Defence that as the building and land were paid for by local residents many years ago it should' be handed back to the county, council as representatives of the people, free of charge.

Mr J. Thorn, (M.P., and the Minister wrote to the August meeting of the Coromandel County Council 1 asking for further information.
