WAGES OF SIN

MAN’S JUST DUES GOD’S 'GRACIOUS (GIFT (By E.H.8.) In one sense, sin always pays. The sinner always receives his due reward for the wrong he has committed. Yes, sin always pays but the payment is always the same—spiritual death. “The wages' of sin is death. bo states the Word of God and what is more, from the same Divine Source, we are told that these same wages are earned by. all, “for all have sinned.” This means that they are for you', reader, notwithstanding the esteem in which you are held by your friends, in spite of your moral integrity, in spite of your regularity ail church each Sunday. In the sight of God all are guilty and under sin. ”As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth 1 good, no, not one.” (Romans 3:10-12). But, reader, God offers you a gift instead of sin’s wages and although “the wages of sin is 1 death,” “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” It is not within the will of God that any should perish through their sins so in His great mercy, He has provided a way of escape for all those who will take it. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only 'begotten Son that .whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” This is God’s great gift to man, the gift of His Own Son as a Saviour. But like all gifts, there must be an acceptance before the gift can be enjoyed. You must accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour before you can be saved. Reader, is He your Saviour? Do you love Him and worship Him as Lord of your life? 'Remember, “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). — P.B.A.
