KEEN DEMAND FOR DAIRIES
FATS & BONERS SEiLL FREELY
Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Co., report that at their fortnightly sale held at. Paeroa on Monday there was an average yarding of cattle comprising mostly dairy cows and heifers which met a keen demand. Fat and boner cows sold freely at recent rates. Quotations: —
Jersey heifers, close to profit, £l2 10s to £l3; medium do., £ll 5s to £l2; Heifers in milk, £lo' to £l'2) 10s; others, £8 10's to £9 10 s; Jersey dairy cows, £ll to £ll 15s; medium dairy cows, £9 15s to £l9 15s; later sorts, £8 to £8 15s.
Fat cows and heifers, £6 12s 1 6d to £7 2s 6d; heavy boner cows, £5 Ils to £6 ss; medium 'boner cows, £4 12s 6d to £5; lighter, £3 Ils to £4 9s; yearling heifers, £4' 10s to £5 13 s; empty 2-year Heifers, - £6 to £6 4s. Medium store pigs, £2 2s 6d; slips; 30s' 6d.
