ODDFELLOWS MEET
LOYAL HAURAKI LODGE FORTNIGHTLY MEETING HELD The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hauraki Lodge was held in the Lodge Room, Coromandel, on Monday, July 2, the NG., 'Sister C. E. Anderson, presiding over a good attendance of members. A minute’s silence was observed for members of Auckland District who have made>the supreme sacrifice. The sick visitors’ report proved satisfactory. Two new members were initiated' into the lodge and the honours of the order were conferred on them. Four candidates were proposed 1 for membership of the lodge.
The lodge adopted a recommendation from the social committee to the effect that the fiftieth birthday celebrations being held in October be on similar lines as last year.
After the lodge prayer was read the meeting closed and a social evening took place. A 'popular supper of hot pies was served) by the social committee and dancing andl games concluded a very happy evening.
