WHITIANGA BEATEN 13 TO 3 FAST, INTERESTING GAME UNITED WIN BRYCE CUP (Playing in perfect football weather before a good attendance, Kuaotunu defeated Whitianga, theii- old rivals, by 13 points to three in a rugby game that was both fast and open. COROMANDEL BEATEN THAMES FISHERMEN’S TEAM On Saturday, July 7, the Thames Fishermen’s football team played Coromandel on the Coromandel Domain when the former won by 12 to nine. Mr “Scotty” Davis was the referee, and a good game was reported. ‘ In the evening a dance was held in St. George’s Hall when the visiting team enjoyed a pleasant evening’s entertainment, leaving for home in the early hours.
