SOCIAL NOTES

Mrs Sheldon of Auckland has returned home after spending a holiday in Waitakaruru as the guest of Mrs Alec Otter. Mrs C. Coxhead and Mrs F. Mounsey, of Waitakaruru, have returned to their homes after spending a holiday with their children at Waihi Beach. Mrs A. Otter of Waitakaruru, has left to spend a holiday in Auckland. Mrs A. McClean of Pipiroa road, Waitakaruru, has returned home after spending some weeks at her beach house, Thornton's Bay, Thames coast. Mrs H. Althea of Wellington and Mrs N. Chapman of Hawera, were her guests during that time. Nurse Ngaire Gordon who is on the staff at the Auckland hospital is at present spending a leave with her mother, Mrs V. Gordon, Waitakaruru. Mrs S. Smart, infant mistress at the Waitakaruru School has returned after spending a holiday in Auckland. Miss N. Abercrombie, assistant teacher at the Waitakaruru School spent her vacation at Waipu Cove and Morrinsville and has returned to her duties.

Miss Wells of Thames, has been appointed probationary assistant at the Waitakaruru school. Mrs W. Wallace of Waitakaruru has returned to her ..home after spending some weeks in Auckland, where she was the guest of Mrs A. Bailey, Seaview road, Remuera. Mrs R. W. Chappell, of Paeroa, is holidaying at Waihi Beach. Mrs A. H. McDougall and her son David, of Auckland, are visiting Netherton as the guests of Mrs P. Ryan.
