INCIDENT AT KAIHERE

PATETONGA MAN FINED £5

For having liquor in the vicinity of a dance hall at Kaihere when a dance was in progress, Alexander John Hat-, well, farmhand, of Patetonga, was fined £5 by Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., in the Thames Magistrate’s Court. He pleaded guilty. ’ Constable R. W. Beasley, of Kerepeehi, described -finding six bottles of beer in defendant’s possession on the other side of the road from the dance hall. -Defendant admitted that it was his.
