GUIDES’ PARTY
FUNCTION AT WHITIANGA PRESENTATION OF BADGES On Wednesday, December221,0 1 , the Girl Guides of . Whitianga held their annual Christmas party. After a sumptuous tea, games and! competitions -were enjoyed 'by the girls’ who later entertained the local association and parents at supper. Prior to the serving of supper, presentations of beautiful bouquets were made to committee .'members and Miss J. Sewell, lieutenant of the company. These were followed 'by gifts to the members of the badge committee, the captain of the company, Missi Robinson and the district commissioner, Mrs Harrison.
Mrs L. V. Smith, president of the local association responded on behalf of the parents and committee members. Mrs Harrison then congratulated Miss J. Sewell on her excellent work as a Guider and presented her with her lieutenant’s warrant and badges of office.
