SCHEME APPROVED
.. CO-OPERATIVE FARMING .. PROFITS FOR EMPLOYEES A scheme for co-operative farming, under which the profits are shared with employees, was advocated at the monthly meeting of the Temuka Farmers’ Union by Mr J. Dempsey, president of the South Canterbury executive of the Farmers’ Union, as an aid to rehabilitation of soldiers on the land and to elderly farmers faced with the problem of maintaining production without efficient labour. At the conclusion of the address members’ said they were heartily in agreement with • the scheme.
