SCHOOL PICNIC
DAY AT WAIOMO BEACH
CHILDREN FROM KATHERE
The annual picnic of the Kaihere School was held last Saturday, at Waiomo Beach. In spite of the dull weather .m,qst of the children went in for a the others paddled Most of the senior children climbed the hill to the look-out.

Plentiful supplies of buns, hot pies, sandwiches and cakes were spread under a pohutukawa tree and the children were waited on by the teachers and' parents. Great credit is due to the headmaster of the school, Mr A. Baildon, for the wonderful way he had organised and carried out all the arrangements for the picnic..
