Insured for £lOOO The 'Guarnerius violin which Mr Max Roland played at Whitianga, at the patriotic concert, is insured with Lloyd’s, England, for £l'ooo. Tairua Wharf As the licence of the Thames County Council for the occupation of a wharf site at Tairua will expire in November, the secretary of the Marine Department asked the council at its July meeting- if it wished to renew the licence and to- have the same scale of dues operating. This was approved, subject to the clerk, Mr J. F. Eames, investigating the -matter.
