MAIN HIGHWAY FINANCE PROTEST BY THE COUNCIL At the July meeting of the Coromandel County Council a letter was received from Matamata County Council asking for support of a letter of protest regarding main highways finances, pointing out that 6d per gallon out of 14|d tax on motor spirit is insufficient. It was proposed by Cr. A. J. Denize and seconded by Cr. A. Watkins “that this council gives its wholehearted support to the resolution carried by Matamata County Council.”
