Need For Decentralisation
"We need decentralisation of politics, industry and population,” said Mr A. T. Campbell, senior tutor of the University Extension Department, in a Community Week address at Temuka. “We need to achieve a balance between the city and the rural types of life. The -growth of city civilisation. with its octopus clamp on the realities of life and death, is already upon us and the falling birth-rate is one index to (he devitalisation of city life.”
