LEAVING WHITIANGA
MR & MRS POOLEY’S DECISION BUSINESS SOLD RECENTLY It is learned with keen regret that Mr and Mrs Pooley have sold their business and are leaving Whitianga. Both Mr and Mrs Pooley were unfailing in their efforts for the soldiers and all patriotic causes and always worked hard at all functions. Mrs Pooley was a member of the Whitianga Croquet Club and of the Whitianga Soldiers’ Knitting Circle and helped in church work. Mr Pooley was on practically all committees including secretary of both R.S.A. and the Mercury Bay Bowling Club. They were generous and gave to all worthy causes. Both will leave memories of kindliness and good work well done. Mr and Mrs Pooley were both good citizens and it will be difficult to fill their places. They will be missed in Whitianga, but all residents join in. good wishes for their health and prosperity.
