DUMPING IN SOUTH PACIFIC GOING BAD FROM BRUISING The need of potato-growers taking greater care in the harvesting of crops was emphasised by the chairman of the Wairarapa Primary Production Council, Mr R. W. KebbelJ, at a meeting in Masterton of the Wairarapa Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union. Mr Kebbell said he had received advice from the Potato Advisory Committee that one ton in every four of potatoes sent to the forces in the South Pacific had to be dumped, because of potatoes going bad from bruising.
